- Muscle cells extract more oxygen from blood flow to replinish ATP stores and remove waste products
- Causes an increase in a-VO2
Explain depleted muscle energy stores
- All major muscle energy sources are depleted during exercise for ATP resynthesis by the muslces
- ATP, PC, glycogen, triglycerides
