  1. Define WORD ROOT.
    Basic foundation of a word to which component parts are added.Also called stem of a word or base of a word.
  2. Define COMBINING FORM
    Word root is combined with a vowel. (word root + vowel)
  3. Define COMBINING VOWEL.
    Usually an o or an i. Used to join word parts appropriately when creating words.
  4. Define SUFFIX
    End of the word root.
  5. Define PREFIX
    Beginning of the word root
