BUTORPHANOL

- DOSE: 25-50mg IV, 50-100 mg IM Ped: 1mg/kg IV/IM

NALBUPHINE
- (Nubain)/Narcotic Analgesic
- DES: synthetic narcotic analgesic equivalent to morphine, though its respiratory depression does not increase with higher doses
- IND: moderate to severe pain
- CI: 1)hypersensitivity 2)undiagnosed head or abdominal injury
- PC: impaired respirations, narcotic dependency
- DOSE: 5mg IV/IM/subcutaneous, repeat as 2 mg doses as needed up to 20mg. Ped: 0.1-0.15mg/kg IV/IM/subcutaneous (rarely used)

PANCURONIUM
- (Pavulon)/Nondepolarizing Neuromuscular Blocker
- DES: nondepolarizing neuromuscular blocker that causes paralysis without bronchospasm or hypotension
- IND: facilitate endotracheal intubation
- CI: tachycardia

- DOSE: 0.04-0.1mg/kg IV Ped: same as adult

- (Norcuron)/Nondepolarizing Skeletal Muscle Relaxant
- DES: nondepolarizing skeletal muscle
