  1. methadone
    Methadone is used to relieve moderate to severe pain that has not been relieved by non-narcotic pain relievers. It also is used to prevent withdrawal symptoms in patients who were addicted to opiate drugs and are enrolled in treatment programs in order to stop taking or continue not taking the drugs. Methadone is in a class of medications called opiate (narcotic) analgesics
  2. thorazine (Chlorpromazine)
    • Chlorpromazine is used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia
    • Chlorpromazine is also used to treat severe behavior problems such as explosive, aggressive behavior and hyperactivity in children 1-12 years of age. Chlorpromazine is also used to control nausea and vomiting, to relieve hiccups that have lasted one month or longer, and to relieve restlessness and nervousness that may occur just before surgery
  3. lovenox (Enoxaparin)
    • an anticoagulant therapy indicated to help reduce the risk of developing DVT, or deep vein thrombosis, which may lead to pulmonary embolism ( PE)
    • LOVENOX® is indicated for the prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis, which may lead to pulmonary embolism:

    • In patients undergoing abdominal surgery who are at risk for thromboembolic complications
    • In patients undergoing hip-replacement surgery, during and following hospitalization
    • In patients undergoing knee-replacement surgery
    • In medical patients who are at risk for thromboembolic complications due to severely restricted mobility during acute illness
  4. baclofen
    • muscle relaxer and an antispastic agent.
    • Baclofen is used to treat muscle symptoms caused by multiple sclerosis, including spasm, pain, and stiffness.
  5. Bumex (Bumetanide)
    • loop diuretic of the sulfamyl category to treat heart failure
    • Treating swelling caused by excess body water associated with heart failure or kidney or liver disease
  6. Prilosec (Omeprazole)
    used alone or with other medications to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD),

    long-acting calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine class) used for treating high blood pressure
  8. calcium channel blockers
    -how do they work?
    used for treating high blood pressure, angina, and abnormal heart rhythms (for example, atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia).

    By dilating the arteries, CCBs reduce the pressure in the arteries. This makes it easier for the heart to pump blood, and, as a result, the heart needs less oxygen. By reducing the heart's need for oxygen, CCBs relieve or prevent angina.
  9. beta blockers def
    block the action of endogenous catecholamines (epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine (noradrenaline) in particular), on β-adrenergic receptors, part of the sympathetic nervous system which mediates the "fight or flight" response
  10. Gabapentin
    used primarily for the treatment of seizures, neuropathic pain, and hot flashes.[
  11. renagel, renvela (Sevelamer)
    a phosphate binding drug used to prevent hyperphosphatemia in patients with chronic renal failure. When taken with meals, sevelamer binds to dietary phosphate and prevents its absorption.

    used to treat high blood levels of phosphorus in patients with kidney disease who are on dialysis. It binds phosphorus that you get from foods in your diet and prevents it from being absorbed into your blood stream.

    is a hypolipidemic drug used to control elevated cholesterol, or hypercholesterolemia
