Coccyx, posterior sacrum, posterior iliac crest, sacrotuberous ligament, sacroiliac ligament
What is the insertion of the Gluteus Maximus?
Upper fibers - iliotibial tract (IT band)
Lower fibers - gluteal tuberosity
What are the actions of the Gluteus Maximus?
- Extends hip
- Lateral rotation of hip
- ABducts hip (upper fibers)
