Actions
inhibits the formation of prostaglandins acting as an antipyretic agent and an anti-inflammatory agent. Asprin also blocks formation of Thromboxane A2 which causes platelet aggregation and arterial constriction

Indications
New chest pain which may be cardiac related.

Contraindications
GI or other bleeding disorders, Asthma attacks, Known hypersensitivity to aspirin.

Side effects
At high doses may cause sweating, nausea, GI bleeding, fall in blood pressure.

Dosage and Administration
- 160-325mg P.O. for patients with cardiac related chest pain
- No pediatric dosing.
