    • constipation, dry mouth, drowsiness, akathisia, parkinsonism, blurred
    • vision, EPSE (especially in children), hypotension,
  4. Dose of prochlorperazine?
    Nausea and vomiting: 20mg initially then 10mg two hours later

    Vertigo: 5-10mg two or three times daily
  5. Counselling of prochlorperazine?
    This medication may make you drowsy and may increase the effects of alcohol.

    Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how you are affected.
  6. Precautions for using metoclopramide?
    parkinsons disease; use domperidone instead

    Depression - long term use may worsen mental state

    Renal impairment

    Elderly
  7. Adverse effects of metoclopramide?
    drowsiness, dizziness, headache

    10 mg 3 times daily.
  8. Counselling for metoclopramide?
    Take short term only

    Medicatio may make you feel drowsy
  9. Indications for promethazine?
    Allergic conditions,

    Nausea and vomiting, including motion sickness

    Sedation, eg for cases of burns, measles, chickenpoxr
  10. Precautions of promethazine?
    • Seizures
    • Respiratory depression
    • Avoid close to delivery in pregnancy
  11. Adverse effects of promethazine?
    Sedation, dizziness, blurred vision, tremor

    Urinary retention

    Seizures - rare
  12. Doseage of promethazine?

    Allergy?
    N&V?
    Allergy - 25-75mg daily

    Nausea and Vomiting: 25mg every 4-6 hours. Max 100mg
  13. Counselling for promethazine?
    This medication may make you sleepy; don't drive or operate machinery if this happens.

    Avoid alcohol and other medication that may cause sedation.
  14. Adverse effects of ondansetron?
    constipation, headache, visual disturbances, seizures
  15. Dose of ondansetron?
    8mg every 8-12 hours
