  1. What are the indications for ACEI's?
    Hypertension

    Heart failure

    Diabetic nephropathy

    Prevention of progressive renal failure

    Post MI
  2. Precautions of ACES's
    Angioedema - increases risk!

    Hypovolaemia, dehydration - increases risk of hypotension

    Treatment of drugs that Increase K+ concentration or renal impairment
  3. Adverse effects of ACEI"S
    hypotension, cough, hyperkalemia, headache

    angioedema, rash, elevated aminotransferases
  4. Counselling for ACEI's?
    May feel dizzy at first, get up slowly

    Do not take K+ supplements
  5. Dose of Elanapril?

    HTN??

    whats it avaliable in combination with?
    • HTN - 5mg daily, increase up to 10-40mg.
    • HF- 2.5mg daily - increase upto 10-20mg

    hydrochlorothiazide
  6. Dose of fosinopril?
    10mg once daily, increasing upto 40mg
  7. Dose of lisinopril?

    HTN- 5-10mg once daily

    HF - 2.5mg daily

    MI - 5mg within 24 hours

    5-10mg daily

    • HF - 2.5mg twice daily
  10. Dose of trandolapril?
    1mg daily, max 4mg daily
