Any act causing the victim to apprehend immediate and unlawful violence

Intention or subjective recklessness to cause the AR

Unlawful application of force to another (can be slight)

Intention or recklessness to cause the actus reus

Assault or battery occasioning actual bodily harm

Intention or recklessness to cause assault or battery

Unlawfully and maliciously wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm upon any person with or without a weapon or instrument

"maliciously" - Intention or recklessness to cause some harm

Unlawfully and maliciously wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm upon any person with or without a weapon or instrument

Defendant must be proved to be malicious plus he must be proved to have specific intent to cause GBH or resist arrest
