Genocide Unit Terms

The deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial,political, or cultural group.

A purposeful policy designed by one ethnic or religious group to remove by violent and terror-inspiring means the civilian population of another ethnic or religious group from certain geographic areas

*Cultural Genocide

He is best known for his work againstgenocide, a word he coined in 1943 from the root words genos (Greek for family, tribe, or race) and -cide (Latin for killing).[1] He first used the word in print in Axis Rule in Occupied Europe: Laws of Occupation - Analysis of Government - Proposals for Redress (1944).

Socio-political response to demographic multi-ethnicity that supports or promotes the assimilation of ethnic minorities into the dominant culture

Group of people whose members identify with each other, through a common heritage, often consisting of a common language, a common culture(often including a shared religion) and an ideology that stresses common ancestry or endogamy.
