  1. Name the 3 instruments connected to the pitot-static system:
    • Altimeter
    • Vertical Speed Indicator
    • Airspeed Indicator
  2. What would you do if your airspeed indicator suddenly dropped without adjusting power or climbed?
    Try turning pitot heat on.
  3. What would you do if your pitot-static instruments started acting funny?
    Try turning on alternate static source.

    CAS indicated airspeed corrected for mechanical errors in the instrument, and position error that happens in some flight conditions
  13. True Airspeed
    Actual speed of your airplane through the air mass. True airspeed is calibrated airspeed corrected for density.\
  14. Vertical stalling speed in landing configuration is V? and where on the VSI?
    VSO on the low end of the white arc.
  15. Maximum full flap extended speed is V? and where on the VSI?
    VFE on the high end of the white arc.
  16. Green arc is what? What does the lower end mean?
    Normal operating range. VS1 is the stall speed with the flaps retracted.
  17. The high end of the green arc is V?
    VNO maximam structural cruising speed- the fastest you can flight in no more than light turbulence. (max speed for normal operations)
  18. Red radial line is V?
    VNE is the never exceed speed!
  19. Maneuvering speed is v?
    VA the maximum speed you can make abrupt control movements or fly in turbulence. This is not marked on the ASI.
  20. The Northern Hemisphere false compass indication on acceleration is ANDS.
    • Accelerate, compass shows a turn North.
    • Decelerate, compass shows a turn South.
    • You won't get acceleration errors on a north or south heading.
  21. List your 3 gyroscopic instruments.
    • Attitude indicator.
    • Heading indicator.
    • Turn coordinator.
