Source: Drain, toilet, or even cleaners; Electric dishwasher detergent; Mildew remover; Batteries; Ammonia
Treatments: Do not induce vomiting' Dilute immediately with water or milk, then do not allow oral intake; Maintain patent airway; Gastric lavage is contraindicated

Source: Gasoline; Kerosene; Lighter fluid; Turpentine
Treatments: Treatment is controcersial; Do not induce vomiting (except in special circumstantes) because of the risk for aspiration pneumonia

Source: Products containing aspirin
Treatments: One or more of the following
-Gastric lavage
-Activated charcoal probably with repeat dosages
-Alkaline diuresis
-Hospitalization (severe) for supportive care

Source: OTC meds such as tylenol
Treatments: Activated charcoal N-acetylcysteine (antidote)

Source: Mineral or vitamin supplement
Treatment: Gastric lavage; Chelation therapy (dereroxamine)

Prescription medications such as Tylenol No. 3 (acetaminophen with codeine)
Treatment: Antidote is N-acetylcysteine

Treatment: Gastric lavage; Activated charcoal; Cathartics
