Notes are correct and measurements are precise, names are spelled correctly.
What does factual mean in note taking?
Keep personal opinions out of the notes.

Get the most out of a few words.
What are abstact words?
Words that could have multiple meanings depending on the context of a sentence or the reader's viewpoint.
What is active voice?
It is the way of writing that shows who is doing and action, as opposed to the passive voice.
What is chronological order?
Writing in the order something happened.

Words that have a clear meaning.
What are direct quotes?
These are the exact words that someone else used.
What is first person?
This is where the author refers to himself as I or me.
What are indirect quotes?
This is where their statement is paraphrased.
What is jargon?
This a type of language that people in law enforcement use that makes no sense to the everyday person.
What are opinions?
These are someones beliefs and is based on something that is not always correct.
What is past tense?
The past tense is used to describe things that have already taken place.
