- Concomitant use with other CNS depressants (barbiturates, alcohol, narcotics)

- 2, 5, 10 ml vials (1 mg / ml ).

Dosage and Administration
Adult
0.5 - 2.5 mg slow IV push; (may be repeated to total maximum: 0.1 mg / kg)

Pediatric
- To facilitate intubation, Medical control may order:
- -(6 months-5 years) Use of Midazolam 0.05-0.1 mg/kg IV maximum dose of 5 mg.
- -(6-12 year old) Use of Midazolam 0.1 mg/kg IV maximum dose of 8 mg.

Duration of Action
- Onset: 1-3 minutes IV and dose dependent.
- Peak effect: variable.
- Duration: 2-6 hours and dose dependent

Special Considerations
- Pregnancy safety: Category D
- Administer immediately prior to intubation procedure.
- Requires continuous monitoring of respiratory and cardiac function.
