    Drug Interactions
    • Potentiates sedative effects of phenothiaxines
    • CNS depressant may potentiate effects of morphine
    • MAOIs may cause paradoxical excitation

    Adult
    4 mg. IV

    • Child under or up to 30 kg. 1 mg. IV
    • Child over 30 kg., 2 mg. IV

    Duration of Action
    • Onset of action: ~30 minutes
    • Half-life elimination:
    • -Children <5 years: 2-3 hours
    • -Adults: 3-6 hours
