    To carry blood around the body.

    Keep the blood moving and pump it around the body

    Carry blood AWAY from heart

    Carries blood BACK again

    Tiny blood vessels that CONNECT the two.
  25. What is more dangerous? Cutting 1 ARTERY or a COUPLE CAPILLARIES?
    1 ARTERY; because the artery carries FAR more blood.
  26. What do the walls allow substances to do?
    The walls allow substances to pass backward & forwards between the blood and the cells
  27. How many stages in the life cycle of a butterfly?
    • 4.
    • 1) Egg.

  28. First thing the larvae eat?
    The egg case.
  29. Differences between ASEXUAL and SEXUAL?
    Asexual- Requires one gamestes. Can reproduce inviduals veery quickly. There will be very little variation in the offspring.

    Sexual- Requires 2 individual organisms. Lots of variation because they have a different cell from each parent. Slow to reproduce sexually.

    Fertilized egg

    The ZYGOTE
