    Child-rearing practices that foster compliance in the performance of assigned tasks and dependence on the domestic group, rather than reliance on oneself.
  5. INDEPENDENCE TRAINING
    Child-rearing practices that promote independence, eslf reliance, and personal achievement.
  6. MODAL PERSONALITY
    The body of character traits that occur with the highest frequency in a culturally bounded population.
  7. CORE VALUES
    Those values especially promoted by a particular culture.
  8. INTERSEXUALS
    Individuals born with reproductive organs, genetelia, and/or sex chromosomes that are not exclusively male or female.
  9. TRANSGENDERS
    Individuals who cross over or occupy a culturally accepted intermediate position in the binary male-female gender construction.
  10. ETHNIC PSYCHOSIS
    A mental disorder specific to a particular ethnic group.
