Fentanylcitrate is a narcotic analgesic. A dose of 100mcg (0.1mg) (2mL) is approximately equivalent in analgesic activity to 10mg of morphine or 75mg of meperidine

Contraindications
FentanylCitrate Injection is contraindicated in patients with known intolerance to the drug

Respiratory depression -> Apnea -> Cardiac Arrest
Rigidity
Bradycardia
Hypertension/Hypotension
Dizziness/Blurred vision
Nausea/Vomiting
Laryngospasm
Diaphoresis

Drug Interactions
Do not use if MAOI has been used within the past 14 days
Examples include:
isocarboxazid (Marplan)
phenelzine (Nardil)
rasagiline (Azilect)
selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam)
tranylcypromine (Parnate)
