- 3. Name the # of Substituents
- Greek root followed by -ly suffix
- 4. Assign a # to each Substituent
- 5. Complete the name
- sub in alphabetical order
- numerical prefixes ignored ( di-, tri-,tetra-,...)
- not ignored ( iso-, neo-, cyclo-,..)
