Flexor pollicis brevis
- Origin: Trapezium, flexor retinaculum
- Insertion: Proximal phalanx of pollex
- Action: Flexes 1^st metacarplphalangeal joint
Adductor pollicis
- Origin: Capitate, 2^nd - 4^th metacarpals
- Insertion: Proximal phalanx of pollex
- Action: Adducts pollux, opposes pollex
