  1. What are the requirement for a definition.
    • 1. Adefinition should be equivalent to he term to be defined.
    • 2.A definition should give the essential charactericstic of the term to be defined and not merely make a statement about the term.
    • 3.A definition should be simple and clear, and expressed if possible in terms more familiar than the one to be defined.
    • 4.Adefinition should not be expressed in negative trems where affirmative can be used.
