Where do you position the most amount of weight, when lifting?
Always keep the weight that your lifting as close to your body as possible.

What are principles of safe reaching and pulling?
- - Your back should always be locked and straight, not curved or bent laterally, and you should avoid twisting.
- - During pulling, you should extend your arms no more then 15" to 20" in front of your torso.

When should you use an emergency move?
- 1. When there is some potential danger, and you and the pt must move to a safe place to avoid possible harm or death.
- 2. The presence of fire, explosives, or hazardous materials
- 3. Gain access to others in a vehicle that need lifesaving care.
- 4 If you cannot properly assess the pt or privide immediate critical emergency care because of the pt's location or position.

What are the four dragging methods?
- 1. Emergency clothes drag
- 2. Blanket drag
- 3. Arm drag
- 4. Arm to arm drag

When would it be necessary to use an urgent move, when moving a pt.
- 1. An altered level of consciousness
- 2. inadequate ventilation or shock (hypoperfusion)
- 3. Extreme weather condition.
