Mechanism of Action
Provies topical anesthesia to eye by preventing transmission of nerve impulses by inhibiting the sodium channels along a nerve pathway
Indications
Chemical injury to the eye without associated foreign body
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity
Precautions
Remove contact lenses prior to use
Use longer than 2 hours may result in corneal ulcerations
Side Effects
Blurred vision
Eye sensitivity
Coreal irritation

None
Dose and Route
1-2 drops of 0.5% solution in each affected eye q 5 mins prn
