    increases the flexibility of the pubic symphysis during pregnancy and helps dilate the uterine cervix during labor and delivery
  11. What are the oval glands that lie in the scrotum?
    testes
  12. What is the main hormone produced and secreted by the testes?
    testosterone
  13. what is testosterone?
    an andorogen or male sex hormone
  14. What does testosterone do?
    stimulates descent of the testes before birt, regulates production of sperm and stimulates the development and maintenance of male secondary sex characteristic, such as beard growth and deepening of the voice
  15. Other than testosterone, what hormone do the testes produce?
    inhibin
  16. In males,what does inhibin do?
    inhibits secretion of FSH
