    • Used in the prevention of asthma and to treat COPD
    • (NOT TO BE USED FOR SUDDEN ATTACK)

    Can cause bronchospas, chest pain, palpitations, anxiety, and tremors
  3. Albuterol
    A bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airway to increase air flow to the lungs

    Can cause bronchospasm, tachycardia, palpitations, tremors, hypertension, SOB, hypokalemia, and anxiety
  4. Allegra
    Antihistamine

    Can cause N/D, GI upset, drowsiness, HA, and muscle/back pain
  5. Alupent
    • A bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airway to increase air flow to the lungs
    • Can cause bronchospasm, tachycardia, palpitations, tremors, hypertension, SOB, hypokalemia, and anxiety
  6. Atrovent
    Used to prevent bronchospasm or people with COPD
  7. Azithromycin
    • Macrolide ABT
    • Used to treat respiratory infections

    Can cause diarrhea, chest pain, Nausea, clay colored stool, jaundice, fever, sore throat, headache and red rash.
  8. Benadryl
    Antihistamine

    Can cause tachycardia, palpitations, confusion, dizziness, hypertension, decrease in urination, nausea and stomach pain
  9. Cipro
    • Flurorquinolones
    • Avoid antacids
    • Give with large amounts of water

    Can cause dizziness, palpitations, diarrhea, confusion, seizure, jaundice, brusing or bleeding, fever, sore throat, and rash
  10. Claratin
    Antihistamine
  11. Erythromycin
    Macrolide ABT
  12. Anti-Tuberculin Drugs
    • -Ethambutol
    • -Isoniazid (INH)

    • -Rifampin
  13. Mucomyst
    • 3 uses:
    • 1. Tylenol OD
    • 2. Protects kidneys from contrast media
    • 3. Mucolytic (Breaks up mucus in the lungs)
  14. Heparin
    Anticoagulant

    Monitor PTT (25-30s)

    Antidote for OD is Protamine Sulfate

    Decreases inflammation

    Monitor for Cushing like symptoms
