Thorax
- 3 views
- =R and L laterals
- =VD or DV (heart dv)
- Cranial portion of lungs to costophrenic angles included
- Front legs positioned as cranial as possible
- No rotation of thorax
- Exposure made on inspiration
Abdomen
- 2 views
- =left lateral
- =VD
- Diaphragm to coxofemoral joints included
- Back legs positioned as far caudal as possible
- Exposure made on expiration
Joints
- 2 views
- =lateral (mediolateral)
- =Craniocaudal
- Include half of proximal long bone and half of distal long bone
- Shoulder
- =lateral and VD
- =special views: supination/pronation
Long Bones
- 2 views
- =lateral (mediolateral)
- =craniocaudal
- Include proximal and distal joints
- Insure true position by palpation of joints
Pelvis
- 2 views
- =lateral
- =VD
- =Frogleg-alternate (dorsal recombancy, let hind leg fall naurally
- For lateral- affected side down w/ bottom leg pulled cranially
- For VD-legs extended and internally rotated
Skull (not done much anymore)
CT or MRI now used for skull
- 2 views for Fractures/gross abnormalities
- =lateral
- =DV
- 3 views for mandible
- =lateral
- =oblique lateral
- =DV/VD
- 4 views for Nasal/Sinus
- =lateral
- =DV
- =frontal
- =occlusal
- 4 views for Bulla
- =lateral
- =lateral obliques
- =DV
- =VD- open mouth
