  1. Thorax
    • 3 views
    • =R and L laterals
    • =VD or DV (heart dv)
    • Cranial portion of lungs to costophrenic angles included
    • Front legs positioned as cranial as possible
    • No rotation of thorax
    • Exposure made on inspiration
  2. Abdomen
    • 2 views
    • =left lateral
    • =VD
    • Diaphragm to coxofemoral joints included
    • Back legs positioned as far caudal as possible
    • Exposure made on expiration
  3. Joints
    • 2 views
    • =lateral (mediolateral)
    • =Craniocaudal
    • Include half of proximal long bone and half of distal long bone
    • Shoulder
    • =lateral and VD
    • =special views: supination/pronation
  4. Long Bones
    • 2 views
    • =lateral (mediolateral)
    • =craniocaudal
    • Include proximal and distal joints
    • Insure true position by palpation of joints
  5. Pelvis
    • 2 views
    • =lateral
    • =VD
    • =Frogleg-alternate (dorsal recombancy, let hind leg fall naurally
    • For lateral- affected side down w/ bottom leg pulled cranially
    • For VD-legs extended and internally rotated
  6. Skull (not done much anymore)
    CT or MRI now used for skull
    • 2 views for Fractures/gross abnormalities
    • =lateral
    • =DV
    • 3 views for mandible
    • =lateral
    • =oblique lateral
    • =DV/VD
    • 4 views for Nasal/Sinus
    • =lateral
    • =DV
    • =frontal
    • =occlusal
    • 4 views for Bulla
    • =lateral
    • =lateral obliques
    • =DV
    • =VD- open mouth
