Which of the following statements is true regarding serum and plasma?
Serum does not contian fibrinogen, plasma does.
Plasma comes from a blood sample that has had anticoagulant added, preventing a clot from forming. Therefore fibrinogen is still present. Serum comes from a blood sample that has been allowed to clot and the fibrinogen has been used in the clot formation therefore it is not present in the serum.
