    are substances found in nature that are not a plant or an animal
  2. igneous rocks
    • are "fire made"
    • igneous rocks form when melted rock cools and hardens
  3. sedimentary rocks
    are formed when sand, mud, and pebbles at the bottom of rivers, lakes, in oceans pile up.
  4. metamorphic rocks
    are rocks that have changed form through squeezing and heating
