Bible Verses - 60

¹⁷ This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

²⁰ My old self has been crucified with Christ. ^[a] It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

¹ And so, dear brothers and sisters,I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

²¹ Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”

¹⁶ All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

⁸ Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

⁷ But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!

⁶ Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. ⁷ Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

²⁰ For where two or three gather together as my followers,a]'>[a] I am there among them.”

²⁴ Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. ²⁵ And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

¹⁹ Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.

²³ For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

⁶ All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.

²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

²⁷ And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,

⁸ But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

¹⁸ Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

⁸ God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. ⁹ Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

⁵ he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.

¹² But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

²⁰ “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

¹³ I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.

²⁴ “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.

¹⁶ Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?

¹² When I came to the city of Troas to preach the Good News of Christ, the Lord opened a door of opportunity for me.

¹⁰ Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

¹³ For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

²² The faithful love of the Lord never ends His mercies never cease. ²³ Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

¹⁹ God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

• ³ You will keep in perfect peace
• all who trust in you,
• all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

⁷ Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

³² Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

¹⁹ And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

¹⁸ Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

• ⁹ How can a young person stay pure?
• By obeying your word.

• ¹¹ I have hidden your word in my heart,
• that I might not sin against you.

³³ Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

²³ Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me.

¹⁵ Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. ¹⁶ For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

² Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

⁵⁸ So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

³ Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.

⁴⁵ For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

⁵ You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake.

• ⁹ Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.
• ¹⁰ Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.

⁶ Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. ⁷ You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully."

⁸ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

¹⁹ Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

³⁴ So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. ³⁵ Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

¹⁸ Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.

³ Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

• ⁵ In the same way, you younger men must accept the authority of the elders.
• And all of you, serve each other in humility, for
• “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”
• ⁶ So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and
• at the right time he will lift you up in honor.

³ Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.

¹¹ Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls.

31 But these are written so that you may continue to believe[a] that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

²⁰ But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.

²⁴ Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. ²⁵ Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

⁹ Love must be without hypocrisy. ^(A) Detest evil; ^(B) cling to what is good. ¹⁰ Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. (C) Outdo one another in showing honor.

¹⁶ So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. ¹⁷ The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

²⁴ Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. ²⁵ Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

²⁰ He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.

² O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.

³⁶ So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

Heavenly Father, I confess to you that I am in bondage to ____. Lord, I ask for your forgiveness and that you would cleanse me and make me right with you and renew a right spirit within me. I ask for greater strength to resist every temptation and to live righteously for you. I believe I receive that strength and freedom now, in the name of Jesus.

⁷ So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

²² But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Heavenly Father, thank you that Jesus bore our grief, our sufferings and our sorrows, and that His wounds have healed ours. We know that nothing is too hard for you. Heavenly Father, we are praying and believing now for the complete healing and restoration of ___________. Thank you Lord that you sent your Word and healed them, in Jesus' name.

¹⁸ Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,

¹² You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.

³⁷ Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. ^{[a] 38} This is the first and greatest commandment.

¹³ People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.

¹⁵ Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.

²⁴ Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

⁶ And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. ⁷ Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

²⁴ Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. ²⁵ And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

²⁰ Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. ²¹ He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.

¹¹ “You fathers—if your children asked ^[e] for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? ¹² Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! ¹³ So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”
