  1. identify and describe the stages of meiosis 1 division?
    • 1. Early prophase 1
    • 2. middle prophase 1
    • 3. metaphase 1
    • 4. anaphase 1
    • 5. telophase 1
  2. identify and describe the stages of meiosis 2?
    • 1. Prophase 2
    • 2. Metaphase 2
    • 3. Anaphase 2
    • 4. Telophase 2
    • 5. Haploid cells 2
  3. Describe the differences between spermatogenesis and oogenesis:
    • Spermatogenesis: happens in the males testes, they produce spermatozoa, it is continuous from puberty to death.
    • Oogenesis: takes place in females' ovaries, it has ovum which is spherical, not motile and is much larger with more food reserves and cytoplasm, oogenesis occurs in the fetus.
  4. Identify the primary germ layers and their end tissues:
    • Endoderm
    • Ectoderm
    • Mesoderm
  5. Describe Endoderm layer.
the inner germ layer forms the linings of various tracts.
  6. Describe ectoderm layer
The outer germ layer, which forms many of the structures around the periphery of the body.
  7. Describe Mesoderm layer
The middle germ layer that forms most of the organs other structures between those formed by the endoderm and ectoderm.
  8. Describe early prophase I
    The duplicated chromosomes become visible.
  9. descrube middle prophase I
Homologous chromosomes synapse to form tetrads.
  10. Metaphase I
Tetrads align at the equatorial plane.
  11. Anaphase I
Homologous chromosomes move apart to opposite sides of the cell.
  12. Describe Telophase I
New nuclei form, and the cell divides; dring interkinesis there is no duplication of chromosomes.
  13. Describe Prophase II
Each chromosome consists of two chromatids.
  14. Describe Metaphase II
Chromosomes align at the equatorial plane.
  15. Describe anaphase II
Chromatids separate and each is now called a chromosome.
  16. Describe Telophase II
New nuclei form around the chromosomes.
  17. Describe haploid cells
The chromosomes are about to unravel and become less distinct chromatin.
  18. Where is the most blood supply in the uterus
    Myometrium
