• (masillar (2nd) division of trigeminal n (V2))

greater wing of sphenoid (middle meningeal a)

b/w temporal sphendoid and occipital bones ( when adult filled w/ cartilage)

temporal bone (internal carotid a.)

• posterior portion of temporal inside skull
• (CN VII facial n, and CN VIII vestibulocochlear)

b/w temporal and occipital (internal jucular v, CN IX, CN X, & CN XI)

occipital bone - opens anterior to the condyles ( CN XIIX hypoglossal n.)

• sometime absent
• occipital bone - opens posterior to the condyles (emissary v.)

• can be absent and replaced w/ supaorbital notch
• frontal bone (supraorbital N.A.V.)

maxilla - just below lower border of orbital (infraorbital N.A.V.)

temporal bone (opening of external ear)

mandible ( mental N.A.V.)

inner surface of ramus - opening to a canal (inferior alveolar N.A.V.)

maxilla- inner anterior midline ( nasopalatine n.)

horizontal portion of palatine ( greater palatine N.A.V.)

• 2 on each side
• posterior to greater palatine f. on platine
• (lesser palatine N/A/V)

• inferior part of nasolacrimal fossa opens inferor in nasal vacity maxilla bone
• (nasolacrimal duct)

on base of temporal bond ( CN VII facial n)

• often absent
• temporal bone ( emissary v.)

occipital bone ( spinal cord, vertebral aa & spinal protions CN XI accessory n.)
