  1. What is diagnostic reasoning?
    Cognitive skills in communicating, selecting assessment tests, interpreting results, formulating solutions, and evaulating treatment plans. Critically thinking
  2. What does False Negative mean?
    • A result that appears negative but fails to reveal a situation
    • An example of a false negative: a particular test designed to detect cancer of the toenail is negative but the person has toenail cancer.
  3. What does False Positive mean?
    • A result that is erroneously positive when a situation is normal
    • An example of a false positive: a particular test designed to detect cancer of the toenail is positive but the person does not have toenail cancer.
  4. What does True Negative mean?
    If PT truly lacks disease
  5. What does True positive mean?
    Abnormal as a result of a disease
  6. Define Sensitivity?
    How good a test is at correctly identifying PTs who have the suspected disease
  7. Define Specificity?
    How good a test is at correctly excluding PTs who do NOT have the suspected disease
  8. What does Territoriality mean?
    Objects or things in PTs room temporarily 'belong' to the PT. Ask permission to enter their territory or borrow their 'things'
