    Fissure

  5. A substance such as a conterirritant, which when apllied to the skin causes erythema
    Rubefacient
  6. Same as vesicle, but bigger. Diameter greater than 1cm
    Blister or bulla
  7. A sharply circumscribed elevated lesion containing fluid up to 1cm
    Vesicle
  8. Dead cells caused by severe trauma or infection
    Necrosis
  9. Eruption of itching wheals, usually of systemic origin; may be due to state of hypersensitivity

  12. Same as macules (flat discolored lesions) but larger than 1cm

  14. A solid, circumscribed, elevated lesion < 1cm in diameter
    Papule
  15. A palpable, papular, relatively flat lesion more than 1 cm in diameter
    Plaque
  16. Circumscribed, elevated lesion < 1cm containing pus. (Larger lesion termed “abcess”/ “furuncle”)
    Pustule
  17. Accumulation of loose, desquamated, hyperkeratitic epidermal cells
