Verify the the ___ is shown on the final approach segment of the LEGS page.
Verify that ____ is engaged or that the _____ is captured.
Approx 2 miles before FAF and after ALT HOLD or VNAV PATH is annunicated (3) -

STALL RECOVERY:
At first indication of stall (3) -
As engine accelerates -
- smoothly apply max power; smoothly decrease pitch attitude to approximately 5 ANU; level wings.
- counteract the nose up pitch tendency with positive forward control column pressure and nose down trim.
-
STEEP TURNS:
As bank angle is increased into the turn an increase in ____ and ____ is required -
Trimming during this maneuver is -
What is required to detect deviations early enough to be corrected by small adjustments?
Airspeed changes very slowly because of small changes in thrust and drag. Therefore -
- pitch and thrust
- not recommended
- rapid instrument scan
- Anticipate thrust changes and apply them atthe first indication of change.
-
RAPID DESCENT -
7 items (note:A/P on is recommended)
- Initiate tuen if required
- Select lower altitude on MCP
- Select FLCH
- Select speed Mmo / Vmo
- Close thrust levers
- Extend speedbrakes
- Notify ATC
-
GROUND PROX WARNING (5):
- disengage A/P
- disengage A/T
- aggressively apply MAX thrust
- simultaneously roll wings level and rotate to an intial pitch attitude of 20ANU.
- retract speedbrakes
note:if terrain remains a threat, rotate to stick shacker. Do not change configuration.
-
WINDSHEAR - MANUAL FLIGHT (7):
- disconnect A/P
- push either G/A switch
- aggressively apply max thrust
- disconnect A/T
- simultaneously roll wings level and rotate toward an intial pitch attitude of 15ANU
- retract speedbrakes
- follow flight director GA gusidance (if available),
Note:do not change configuration
-
WINDSHEAR - AUTOMATIC FLIGHT (5):
- press either G/A switch
- verify GA mode annunciations
- verify thrust advances to GA power
- retract speedbrakes
- monitor system performance
NOTE:do not change configuration
