- Measure from heel to popliteal fold
- Add 2 inches for footrest clearance

Wheelchair Seat Depth
- Measure from posterior buttock along lateral thigh to popliteal fold
- Subtract 2 inches to avoid pressure against the popliteal space

Wheelchair Seat Width
- Measure the widest aspect of the user's buttocks, hips, or thighs
- Add 2 inches to allow clearance of the trochanters from the armrest side panel

Wheelchair Back Height
- Measure from the seat of the chair to the floor of the user's axilla when the shoulder is in 90 degrees of flexion
- Subtract 4 inches to allow clearance of the inferior angles of the scapulae
- If a cushion is to be used, add cushion height to the final measurement

Wheelchair Armrest Height
- Measure from the seat to the user's olecranon process
- Add 1 inch
- If a cushion is to be used, add cushion thickness to the final measurement
