  4. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
    Anterior pituitary gland. Stimulates secretion of thyroid hormones by thyroid gland.
  5. Prolactin
    Anterior pituitary gland. Stimulates dev of breasts and milk secretion in females
  6. Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)

    Thyroid gland. Increase basal metabolic rate.
  13. Calcitonin
    Thyroid gland. Promotes calcium deposition in bone. Lowers blood calcium lvls
  14. Parathyroid hormone (PTH)
    • Promotes calcium release from bone, calcium absorption by intestine, and calcium reabsorption by kidney tubules. Raises blood calcium lvls. Stim vit d3 synthesis.

  15. Mineralcorticoids (aldosterone)
    • Stim sodium reabsorption and potassium secretion by kidney tubules
