  9. Adding roman Nurmals
    when adding smaller valued numerals are placed to the right of the larger value.
  10. example:
    • vi=5+1=6
    • xxvii=10+10+5+1+1=27
  11. Subtracting roman numerals
    if a smaller valed numeral is placed to the left of the larger valued numeral the value respresented by the smaller numeral is to be subtracted.
    • epamle:
    • xl=50-10=40
    • cm=1,000-100=900
