    • - it is controlled by chemoreceptors in your medulla oblongata that detects the change in your bloods co2  and o2 levels. 
    • - breathing is primarily controlled by Co2 levels not O2 levels
  2. What are chemoreceptors activated by.
    They are activated by cellular respiration or the high build up of Co2 levels
  3. Emphysema
    This is when alveoli rupture because they are over inflated that leads to a less surface area
  4. Enzymes responsible for converting carbon into bio carbonate ions
    Carbonic anyhydrase
