    • -Connected by the corpus callosum which is larger in females than males

    Areas of the cerebrum named for the bones covering them
  4. Gyri
    Ridges of the cerebrum (hills)
  5. Fissures
    Large deep crevice separating major parts of the brain
  6. Sulcus
    Shallow grooves (valleys) forming the lobes
  7. Central sulcus
    Separates the frontal and parietal lobes in each hemisphere
  8. Lateral sulcus
    Separates the temporal lobe from the parietal & frontal lobes
