    Coarse flapping of muscular tremors observed during voluntary movements
  3. Grey Turners Sign
    Flank ecchymosis due to hemorrhagic pancreatitis
  4. Cullins Sign
    Peri-Umbillical ecchymosis
  5. Virchow’s Triad
    • ‘Venous’
    • - loss of vein integrity 
    • - stasis (long seated ride)
    • - hyper coagulation state (pregnant/ cancer)
  6. Homans Sign
    Dorsiflexion of the foot and constriction of the calf causing calf pain related to PVD
  7. McBurneys Point
    • Appendicitis 
    • point over appendix with pain. 1/3 distance from umbilical to iliac spine
  8. Kernigs Sign
    • Meningitis 
    • inability to straighten the leg when hip flexed to 90 degrees
  9. Kehrs Sign
    • Ruptured spleen 
    • acute pain at the tip of the shoulder due to blood in peritoneal cavity
  10. Chovsteks Sign
    • Hypocalcemia
    • facial muscle twitch
  11. Trousseau Sign
    • Hypocalcemia
    • carpopedal spasm after BP cuff applied for 2-3 minutes
  12. Brusdzinkis Sign
    • Meningeal Irritation
    • involuntary leg lifting when head is lifted while supine
  13. Ballance Sign
    • Splenic Rupture 
    • dullness to percussion on opposite side to affected side)
  14. Cooper nails sign
    • pelvic fracture 
    • Ecchymosis of scrotum / labia.
  15. Kussmauls sign
    • Cardiac tamponade
    • rise in venous pressure upon inspiration.
  16. Becks Triad
    • - muffled heart tones 
    • - narrow pulse pressures 
    • - jvd
  17. Waddells Triad
    • Child hit by car
    • - femor fx 
    • - abdomen/ thorax injury
    • - contra lateral head injury
