Defensive 1st/3rd PLAYS

Throw runner out at 2B, do not worry about 3B

3rd baseman breaks to the bag as soon as the pitch crosses the batter.

Catcher comes up firing to 3B

Catcher pops out and pumps fakes to 2B.

Then turns and fires down to third

Catcher stands up quickly like he is going to throw down to 2B , but makes a hard throw to the pitcher.

Pitcher catches the ball and looks at 3B.

If you catch runner a 3rd leaning get him out- if not hold the ball

Short stop goes to the 2B bag

• Second baseman cuts in between pitchers mound and 2B
• and takes a look at 3B.

If runner looks like he is going home - second baseman cuts ball off and gets runner out at home.

If runner at 3B stays put short stop takes the throw at 2B and we get that runner out.
