FSP BLS CPR

  1. CPR rate adult
    100 – 120 per min
  2. CPR Ratio children (1 or 2 rescuer)
    • 1 rescuer – 30:2
    • 2 rescuers – 15:2

  19. Rescue Breathing children/infant
    • - 1 breath every 2-3 sec (20-30/min)
    • - each breath over 1 sec    
    • - check pulse every 2 min
  20. Open airway for breaths
    • One hand on forehead
    • Fingers of other hand on lower jaw
    • Lift the jaw to bring chin forward
  21. Using bag-mask devise
    • Head tilt
    • Narrow portion at the bridge of the nose
    • Make a C with index and thumb
    • Tilt angles of the jaw with remaining fingers
  22. BLS Algorithm Adult
    • Verify scene safety
    • Check for responsiveness (Are you ok?)
    • Shout for nearby help
    • Activate Emergency Response System
    • Get AED and equipment
    • Look for breathing (gasping) and check pulse (simultaneously)

    • If pulse and normal breathing
    •      - Monitor until emergency responders

    • If pulse and NO breathing
    •      - Provide rescue breathing:
    •           - 1 breath every 6 sec (10/min)
    •      - Check pulse every 2 min
    •      - if NO pulse, start CPR

    • If NO pulse and NO breathing
    •      - Start CPR 30:2
    •      - Use AED if arrived
    •      - Check Rhythm
    •      - If Shockable
    •           - give 1 chock
    •      - If not Shockable
    •           - Resume CPR immediately for 2 min (until prompted by AED to allow rhythm check)

    • Verify scene safety
    • Check for responsiveness (Are you ok?)
    • Shout for nearby help
    • Activate Emergency Response System via mobile device (if appropriate)
    • Look for breathing (gasping) and check pulse (simultaneously)

    • If pulse and normal breathing
    •      - Monitor until emergency responders

    • If pulse and NO breathing
    •      - Provide rescue breathing:
    •           - 1 breath every 2-3 sec (20-30/min)
    •      - Check pulse for no more than 10 sec
    •      - If pulse <60/min, start CPR

    • If NO pulse and NO breathing
    •      - If Witnessed sudden collapse
    •           - Leave the victim to:
    •                - Activate Emergency Response System (if not done)
    •                - Get AED and equipment
    •      - If Unwitnessed collapse
    •           - Start CPR
    •                - 1 rescuer: 30:2
    •                - 2 rescuers: 15:2
    •           - After 2 min (if not done):
    •                - Activate Emergency Response System
    •                - Get AED and equipment
    •           - Use AED if arrived
    •           - Check Rhythm
    •           - If Shockable
    •                - give 1 chock
    •           - If not Shockable
    •                - Resume CPR immediately for 2 min (until prompted by AED to allow rhythm check)
