    True: Visigothic Spain was invaded by north African Berbers in 711; Spain was ruled by the Emirate of Cordoba from 756 to 929 and then by the caliph of Córdoba until 1031. Then the Almoravides and later the Almohads brought religious tolerance to an end. Medieval Spain was constant warfare between Muslims and Christians. By 1250 nearly all of Spain was back under Christian rule.
