  1. acetylcholine ACh
    • neurotransmitter that triggers action potential in skeletal muscle
    • stim. by parasymp.

    • invaginations in plasma membrane that allow the action potential to activate inner cells
    • present in skel and cardiac muscle
  3. myoglobin
protein in skel muscle that takes oxygen from Hb and supplies it directly to skel muscle when needed
  4. multinucleate syncytium
    • fusion of multiple cells so they're multinucleate
    • skel muscle only
    • cardiac and smooth muscle have functional sync.
  5. diaphysis and epiphysis
epi. is the curved ends of a bone and dia is the long part inbtwn the two
  6. hyaline cartilage
    strong and somewhat flexible
  7. elastic cartilage
support and more flexible than hyaline cus it has elastin
  8. fibrous cartilage
very rigid and very strong support
  9. synathroses
    • immovable joints
    • parts where bones are fused tgth
  10. amphiarthroses
    • slightly movable joints

    make bone
  13. osteoclats
