seaman shall be responsible for:

1. undertaking tasks and working alongside the other deck crew as per instructions received from the bosun or the chief officer.

2. manning the gangway in port for security reasons, making rounds of the deck and checking the moorings. and at  sea lookout and steering the vessel, as assigned. 

3. Ensuring the proper use and care of deck equipment, supplies, and material. 

4. Assisting with supervision of storage in the Bosun's locker, paint locker, storerooms and workshops etc.
