what are the risks factors?
- previous
- previous surgery on the uterine tube
- an intra uterine contraceptive device fitted
- sterilisation or reversal of sterilisation
- endometriosis
- previous infections (pelvis inflammatory disease, chlamydia, gonorrhoea)
what are the typical signs of an ectopic preg?
- acute localised, lower abdominal pain
- vaginal bleeding or spotting- may present as brownish discharge
- amenorrhoea
- signs of blood loss within the abdomen with tachycardia and skin coolness
what are the atypical signs of a ectopic preg?
- shoulder tip pain
- nausea, vomiting and unusual bowel symptoms
- unexplained dizziness and fainting
what pain relief can be given to a women with a ? ectopic preg?
- paracetamol
- entonox
