    • Relationship(affective)- don't like each other
    • Process(cognitive and affective)- how things are done (starts as cognitive and becomes affective)

    • abilene paradox- mistaken belief everyone agrees (no one knows what to do so go with the recommendation)(passive)
    • Groupthink- active pressure on dissenters to agree with the consensus(active)

    • deliberate development of alternatives

    • 5 whys(ask why 5 times)
    • Devils advocacy (appoint a role and change)
