- facial burns with complete skin loss to lower half of face
- circumferential burns from flame injury
how long should burns be cooled for with water?

20 minutes
what should be removed in a burns patient?

all jewellery- even in non effected areas
how should cling film be applied?
- in longitudinal strips
- dispose of the first 10-20cm
- single strips only
- do not wrap around the limb
what should never be used on a burn?
- ice
- cool the burn- not the patient
what do children under one year not have?
