1. Define fixed term tenancy
     A tenancy under a tenancy agreement that specifies the date on which the tenancy ends;
  2. Define periodic tenancy
    (a) a tenancy on a weekly, monthly or other periodic basis under a tenancy agreement that continues until it is ended in accordance with this Act, and

    15 days after the end of the tenancy agreement and when the landlord receives the tenants forwarding address in writing, whichever comes later
  4. What is the maximum the landlord can charge for security and pet deposits?
    One half of the rent for each deposit
  5. How much interest is to be paid on a security or pet deposit?
    It varies from year to year, but from 2009 until 2017 the interest rate on deposits has been zero. Use a deposit interest rate calculator to determine the total amount.
