What two variables are used with degrees of freedom calculations?
What do they represent?
What is a degree of freedom?
- m = nr of groups
- n = nr of data-points in group
- They represent how many datapoints you can remove if you know the total value of sst/ssb/ssw and still find all values of each datapoint. its like if we know
- 5+10=15 then we can say we have 1 degree bc we can set 5=x and still know get the ans to X but if we say x + y = 15 then we can calc so we don't have 2 degrees of freedom.
